Patent search and strategy for the UK–Gulf corridor

Eight years as a patent analyst, now focused on one gap most IP practices haven't filled: rigorous, jurisdiction-accurate intelligence across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and the wider GCC.

Most UK practitioners know EPO and USPTO well. Very few know SAIP

The GCC Patent Office stopped accepting new applications in January 2021 — protection now means filing nationally in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and the other Gulf states individually, each with its own office, language requirements, and prosecution timeline. That shift is recent enough, and technical enough, that it's still a genuine knowledge gap in the UK market.

Add Saudi and Emirati Vision 2030-linked technology sectors expanding into Europe and the US, and there's real, current demand on both sides of the corridor — this practice exists to sit in that specific gap.

Analyst training, GCC focus

Eight years searching, categorising and reporting on inventions as a patent analyst sit behind this practice — the same discipline now applied specifically to the gap between UK/EU patent practice and the fast-changing GCC regimes.

Rather than compete as a generalist IP consultancy, it's built deliberately narrow: the jurisdictions and technology-search work most UK practices haven't developed deep coverage in yet.

Start with a conversation, not a contract.

Tell me the technology area and the jurisdiction you're worried about — I'll tell you honestly whether a report is the right next step.
